What a cookie actually is

A cookie is a small text file a website leaves in your browser so it can recognise you next time. It can't run programs, it can't scan your computer and it can't read files. On taleroni.com, cookies do the boring but necessary work of keeping a booking form from resetting halfway through.

We also use a small amount of browser storage that works in a similar way. Where this policy says cookies, that covers it too.

The cookies we use

We keep the list short on purpose. There are only three categories on this site.

• Essential cookies keep your session valid, remember your cookie choice and stop forms from breaking.
• Analytics cookies show us which pages people read and where they leave, in aggregate, with no names attached.
• Preference cookies remember things like your last chosen class type so you don't reselect it every visit.

We do not run advertising cookies and we do not allow third-party ad networks to drop trackers on this site.

How long they stick around

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay longer, and each one carries its own expiry date.

• Your cookie consent choice is stored for 12 months.
• Analytics data is kept in identifiable form for 14 months, then aggregated or deleted.
• Booking session cookies expire within 30 days or when you complete the booking.
• Preference cookies last up to 6 months, or until you clear them.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Every major browser has a privacy section where this is a two-click job. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the booking flow will not work and we cannot fix that for you.

To clear cookies on the most common browsers: Chrome goes through Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies. Safari and Firefox have equivalent menus under their privacy or security tabs. On mobile, the same settings live in the browser app itself.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a cookie category, or change how long something is stored, this page is updated with a new effective date. Members are not emailed about every cookie tweak, but the current version always lives here.
